The Walker will wave.
The Mail Carrier will deliver.
And M will, when it matters most, arrive with pimento cheese.
This is not a casual contribution.
This is a standard.
It began, as most important things do, without announcement. M stepped onto the porch carrying a container and the kind of quiet confidence that suggests she knows exactly what she’s doing.
Gladys noticed immediately.
“That’s pimento cheese,” she said, with certainty.
Ethel looked over.
“Well,” she replied, “finally, someone around here is making good decisions.”
The container was placed with care. Not rushed. Not careless. There was intention behind it.

Of note: The Girl was present shortly after and appeared pleased, though her understanding of the importance of the moment remains questionable. She retrieved crackers without proper acknowledgment of the significance of what had been provided.
Ethel watched this carefully.
“She enjoys it,” she said, “but she doesn’t respect it.”
Correct.
Pimento cheese is not just a snack.

Even Mr. Jenkins, who paused briefly during one of his many lawn sessions, appeared to acknowledge the presence of something of value, though he did not approach. A respectful distance was maintained.
The Amazon Driver has not yet been observed interacting with the situation, though based on frequency, future overlap is likely.
